Oh, just because I often seem to build myself costum fixtures and use LXBeams mainly to do a) paperwork but also b) setup/update LXConsole's channel and patch setups... so usually, I try to avoid steps in LXConsole that would be overwritten/changed when I update the LX Plan and after the LXConsole, ...

Hi Claude,

That seems to work well in LXConsole - but thus far, I have not seen a way to set it up in LXBeams. Would it be possible to do that?

Virtual Intensity Parameter

Hi Claude, Happy New Year! Is there any way to implement a virtual Intensity parameter for LED fixtures that do not have that parameter as an option? i.e. RGB fixtures that do not have an intensity subchannel. The desired outcome would be that when changing the virtual Intensity subchannel in LXCons...

Thanks, that works except most of fine parameters (this seem to affect but pan and tilt fines, which seem to work... well... fine :)).

PS: With an RBGW fixture, the integrity seems preserved, so it might just the application of Hue Fine, Saturation, and maybe the more complex fixtures like this Vivid-R, or when fixtures of a different mixing system are selected together - though, that would really be desirable, as it would allow to...

Applying of defined values for related subchannels

Hi Claude , We touched on it before, but the following steps lead to unexpected behaviour: 1. grab a HSI fixture and a Cyan-Red-Green-Blue-Red/Orange-Amber-Indigo fixture. 2. set a colour in the picker or via Gel number (for the test - R92, resulting in Hue 45, Hue Fine 0, Saturation 94, and Cyan FL...

Thanks for the fix on both accounts! Yeah, I just cobbled the fixture together from someone's white leccy tape with sharpie writing on an old Jands ESPII manual fader desk :). don't actually know the fixture, and for this particular show, I was not even planning to use most of the subchannels, but t...

PS, the snapshot is a great feature, though like you say, not quite fixing the problem described... could it be modified to save whenever a change is made (with a setting to use it like that or to use it the way it currently is)?

Hi Claude, Does LXConsole automatically save the crash reports in a log somewhere? In the heat of the moment, I did not think to save it manually. The step that lead to the error was: Creating an effect on an intelligent light, based on Color Wheel-RGB, Then duplicating the channel 3 times (potentia...

PS, another option could be to always save (kinda like google docs) whenever there is a change made, but into a shadow file (like i.e. sketchup), so that you still keep the snapshot/milestone you actively saved last, and that the backup only gets used when the program crashes - as an option next to ...

Crash and lost half a show

Hi Claude, Just came out of a rather tight rock/n/roll type tech, and lost half of my show during a crash (while working on an effect, if that interests you, I can elaborate more in a different thread). My point is - yes, I should have saved more often, but whenever it is a manual process and the pr...

various issues in the channel window

Hi Claude, I have recently experienced some strange things in the Channel window, including: - not being able to see/apply allegedly recorded favourites/defined values anymore; this happened across a few fixtures using the same colour mixing system, i.e. HSI. - when selecting one or several fixtures...

LXBeams > LXConsole Display Config export = Magic sheets?

Hi Claude, Just a quick one, I noticed a nearly undocumented feature in LXBeams/Console interplay, called LXConsole Display Config export; Curious as I am, I have tried it out with unexpected result - being that all I have seen in LXConsole after the import is the numbers of the scale ruler blocks, ...
