I'm back working with LX Console on a new show and I'm having a new issue (I just downloaded version 4.0.0). I'm trying to create a new light type in the Setup Channel dialog box. I create all the required Subchannels (red, green, blue, white) and I number them 0,1,2,3 and then intensity 4. I then e...

When I open the track sheet and then switch between the track sheet and the channel window, the program stalls and I get a spinning beach ball for about a minute. The program then works normally until I try and switch back to the Track Sheet window, when it stalls for about a minute again. It hasn't...

I had a similar issue recently. I was using a recent (but not the most recent) update of LX Console and a DMX King (Enttec compatible) in single universe mode. I was trying to patch an LED black light, which was in 2 channel mode, but I was only concerned with the first channel (intensity). It was p...

A couple of minor issues
I have found a couple of minor bugs while building my latest show on LX Console: 1) I use MIDI and MSC triggers extensively both in and out to Isadora as well as a MIDI controller. In the Preferences I have it set to listen to all devices, which usually works fine. When I restart my computer however...

Yosemite (maybe?) issues
I recently installed a new hard drive in my MacBook Pro and installed Yosemite while I was at it. Now, when I run LXConsole it is very laggy. There is a 2-3 second delay from when I edit something to when I see the change on the screen, and another 2-3 second delay until the lights actually change i...

LX Console doesn't always open up with the last used file
LX Console doesn't always open up with the last used file. Sometimes it opens with the second-most recent file I've had open. This really screws with version control if I don't notice and start editing an older file.

LED fixtures in submasters
I am trying to set up some submasters with LED fixtures and I'm running into some issues. If I set a colour value to a submaster, it bumps to full at 1% instead of fading with the master level of the submaster. This makes it very hard to do discreet colour mixing with submasters. In a related note, ...

Another thing I noticed with effects: When I set a fade out time but not a fade in time, the effect master would not reset to 100% after the clear. If I ran the same effect twice in the same show, it would not work properly the second time (because the master was at 0). Setting the fade in time to 0...

I'm curious. I recently had some issues while running LX Console slaved to Isadora. I had about a dozen submasters that were being controlled by MIDI control change messages sent from Isadora. Most of the changes were just on/off, but there were about 3-4 messages (for different submasters) being se...

Thanks for the update. Once I realized the problem, I created a workaround by setting all the relevant channels to 1% and then the parts saved correctly. I will update to the latest version once this show closes. I also agree with your take on part cues - I can't imagine how you could have one chann...

So I've done a bit of investigating, and it would seem that the root of this problem has to do with the fact that the part information doesn't get saved for channels that are at zero in the given cue. I inferred this from looking at an exported ASCII file, which doesn't list any channels with level ...
