Disappearing Plan

Hi,

I use Lx Beams on a mix of OSX and iOS (The app works wonderfully on the iPad Pro!) - and I've been doing this for while with no problems.

However, just now, while I had the app open and working on a plan on the iPad, suddenly half of the units I'd put in just disappeared without warning. It seems like the iPad app suddenly jumped back to an earlier version. Went to open the plan on a Mac, and this had also reverted to the earlier version.

Any ideas what I'd done wrong?!

It sounds as if your document was stored in iCloud and open on both your Mac and iPad. When the document autosaved on the Mac, it caused the file to revert on the iPad. The iCloud system is supposed to prevent conflicts like this. But, it does not always work correctly.

The safest way to work is with a different copy of the file on the iPad than the Mac. Being especially careful not to have the file open on both at the same time.

Ah that makes sense - yes, the plan was probably opened and minimised on the Mac.
