Hi,
Just wondering if I need to activate the "Open Recent" capability in the File menu.
Everytime I open LXBeams, the menu shows "Clear Menu" and nothing else.
Cheers

LXBeams - Open Recent not showing anything
The recent menu is handled by the operating system. It should get populated each time you open or save a file. But applications sometimes appear to behave differently... LXFree/LXBeams uses the default provided by the system.
You can manually change the number of files that appear in the recent menu. (And that means that other software can as well).
Open the Terminal (Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app) and enter:
defaults write com.claudeheintzdesign.lxbeams NSRecentDocumentsLimit 20
This should set the number of recent documents that appear in the menu to 20. If that somehow got set to 0, then no documents will ever appear.
LXBeams preferences are stored in a file in your <home>/Library/Preferences folder called:
com.claudeheintzdesign.lxbeams.plist
You can try deleting that file to see if that will help.

System Default did the trick
I had the system set to 0 because I used to hate the wait as sub menu built, which isn't really a problem on the new Mac!
