Are there plans for LXfree to accept venue plans in DWG format?

No. LXFree can import DXF which is difficult but has published information about enough of it to make it possible at least in a limited manner. DWG, on the other hand, is a proprietary format belonging to AutoDesk and it is not feasible to support it in a free application.
