I downloaded LXfree, Installed it but when I click to launch it, it just doesn't launch. The pop up window to relaunch or report the problem comes up.
Can you help?

The most common reason for that kind of thing is that there's a mismatch between the version of LXFree and your operating system/processor type. For example, you might be running OS X 10.5 on an Intel based Mac and have installed the 64bit 10.6 and later version rather than the universal 32bit 10.5 capable version.
If you are running OS X 10.5 on an Intel Mac, when you click on the link from the e-mail and go to the download page, it is possible that the first option you are presented with is the Intel/64-bit/10.6+ version. This is because the download script gets information from your browser that says it is running on an Intel processor. BUT, it does not always detect the operating system version. Only the universal version is compatible with OS X 10.5. This is labeled as an alternate download.
The functionality of the two versions is the same at the moment. At some point, in order to move forward, the compatibility with 10.5 will have to end. But for now it is still available (along with the ability to run on PowerPC hardware) in the universal version.
