Trouble with Sketchup plugin

I'm sure this has been covered here, but I'm new and haven't found an answer yet.

I've moved the files into the appropriate Library file. But when I open SketchUp I get the warning:

Error Loading File faces_export.rb
undefined local variable or method `book' for main:ObjectError Loading File faces_import.rb
undefined local variable or method `book' for main:ObjectError Loading File lxbeams_import2idx.rb
undefined local variable or method `book' for main:Object

Does anybody have an idea how to fix this so I can export files to use in my lighting designs? Please help.

Thanks in advance.

What versions of LXBeams and Sketchup are you using?

The plugins work just fine with the latest Sketchup 8 and Snow Leopard.

On OS X 10.7 Lion, if you drag the plugins to the plugin folder alias, the operating system will not actually move them to that location. What it does is to make aliases of the files. This produces the error messages you encountered. The way to fix this is to select the files from the LXSeries Pro/Sketchup Plugins folder and choose "Copy". Then, navigate to the Library/Application Support/Google Sketchup 8/Sketchup 8/Plugins folder and choose "Paste". This will place actual copies of the files into the Sketchup plugins folder rather than aliases.

The installer will get updated to reflect this with new instructions for installing the plugins.

Using LX Beams 2.1.1 and SketchUp 8 on Lion.

Your fix for the plugin worked great. Now I can export .faces files. I now have the problem where, because of the new user file system, I paste the item into the models folder of the user library but it doesn't show up on the list so I can see and work with it.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much for your quick response
