Just downloaded LXFree, as although I rarely need lighting plots for my venue, I need to produce a generic image of our standard truss arrangement, so didn't want to blow £900!
A few quick questions:
1) Is there a standard truss symbol library?
2) Are there other moving light libraries
3) If not, how do you advise that I start creating my own, to include useful linked information.
Great bit of software, thanks!

You can look at http://lx.claudeheintzdesign.com/examples.html. There are a couple of plot files that contain truss elements that you can copy and paste and re-use.
There are a few automated fixtures near the bottom of LXFree's default key. LXBeams has a key named "moving" with a larger selection of symbols. LXBeams allows you to create new key entries and edit them. LXBeams includes editing the symbols used to represent them.
With LXFree you are limited to changing the name or other properties of any of the moving fixtures in the default key by using the Symbols report.
