Patch
Hi everyone!
I'm a real beginner, new at this forum and new at LxConsole...so, sorry for the beginner questions, but since I couldn´t find some answers I need in the help texts, I´m forced to bother all of you.
I don´t understand how to make a patch. I can´t...
And then, if I make a show with a patch and a cue list, and I go to a new venue, how do I make this new patch only for this ocation so I can have my cue list running?
I really apreciate a little help on this beginner´s doubt....
Thanks to all!

The patch is found in the table in the lower portion of the split main screen. To reveal the table, you click and drag the bar at the bottom of the main display. To patch a dimmer to a channel you enter the dimmer number in the patch column. Multiple dimmers can be patched by separating them by commas. Proportional patching is accomplished by adding a "@" followed by a level, eg. "100,101@90".
The "Channels" tab in the Setup window also has functions that affect the patch. LXConsole has an alternate patch which is useful when you want to keep a main patch but alter it for specific venues. There is a popup menu in the Setup->Channels tab that has functions for manipulating the patch(es).

patch in lx beams
IS there a patch function in LX beams like the one in the setup in lx console, or rather a way to patch multiple dimmers at the same time?
Or, is there an apple script that sends the patch info from console to beams?
Cheers, Uli

You can use the auto-fill function in the tools tab of the Inspector.
You could also use LXBeams->Install Extras to create a copy of the built-in scripts and modify the copy circuit to dimmer script so it copies the channel into the dimmer (just change "cir" to "chan"). The save the script with a new name and put in in the ~/Library/Application Support/com.claudeheintzdesign.lxseries/scripts/lxbeams folder. It should then appear in the scripts menu.
Importing a patch into LXBeams has a major problem. Suppose a channel is patched to two addresses from two different lights. When you import the patch, which light gets which address?

Patching
Hello,
I am having an issue with LXConsole accepting my soft patch and not sure what the issue is. I cleared the patch, then I entered in my patch into the spreadsheet. (there are channels that are not patched, not sure if this effects anything) Once I did that I saved, and reopened the file, nothing would recognize the new patch, it was all still acting as 1 to1. I tried selecting alternate patch, it was still acting as 1 to 1. I am not sure if anyone can help or knows what the issue might be. Thanks so much.
