OS X 10.9 Mavericks contains a new feature called AppNap. What this does is to slow down an application that the operating system determines is in the background. What this means for LXConsole is that if it is not the foreground application, it can be "put to sleep" by the operating system. This results in slow response to triggered cues and/or jumps in fades.
The latest build of LXConsole tells the operating system it is doing something important and not to put it to sleep when fades or effects are running and when it is listening for OSC or MIDI input.
If you are using OS X 10.9 Mavericks and LXConsole where it is possible that LXConsole will be hidden or not be the front application during live use, you will want to use the latest build to prevent "AppNap" from affecting LXConsole's performance.
