Setting up channels
Setting up channels
How do I make a xml to add the pan and other features at the bottom of the main window.
The easiest way to setup channels in LXConsole is to use LXBeams for your plot and then use the "Setup LXConsole" script command. This will transfer the patch and device setup information from the plot to LXConsole. You can also use the "Export Channel Summary" script command to save a file with this information. Then the file can be imported into LXConsole using the Import->Channel Data command.
You can also setup channels manually.
First you need to define all the subchannels you want to use in the Setup window's channel tab. Some subchannels have defined .numbers although you can define your own by picking the "Other" option.
Next, you can define subchannels for any channel by right-clicking or holding down the control key and clicking on the channel in the main display. This brings up a popup menu that includes any defined values for the channel as well as an option called Setup Channel...
In the channel setup sheet, you can add subchannels which will then be available for the channel. On the right side of the channel setup, you can add defined values for a subchannel. Color frames for a color scroller are good examples of defined values. Defined values that span several related subchannels (eg pan and tilt) can be added later using the channel control window.
You can save a complete channel setup or just the list of defined values as a file for use with other channels.

so could I...?
Can I use a single channel and have the 7 channels associated with a LED Panel light in the RIGHT-CLICK menu that comes up and not use the other 6 following channels?
So I would have a drop down for Red, Green, Blue, Strobe, Macros...etc
