LXConsole and TouchOSC equals fun!
Ive been playing with my iPhone more than usual lately.
It all started with me having problems to connect to the built in network sharing. I still can't and havent figured out why. I think my iPhone is too slow and responses to late. (I still run the original version).
Anyway that doesn´t really matter anymore since I found another solution for my most common needs of remotecontrolling.
I posted a page with some explanations and pictures that youll find here:

Hope you'll enjoy it!

This link is not valid any longer.I've put a zip file with the 3 documents needed on touch osc forum.
http://www.osculator.net/forum/attachme ... 1301573149
Its an lx midi file
a layout in touchoscedit
and an osculator-file.

Great! thanks,
works fine!
I have some more questions :
- is there a way to know the state of the fchannels on the phone (if a channel is modified on my mac the fader on my phone do not move)?
-How did you create multiple commands for 1 button like your "all of" on the "Buttons" page?
- What is your use of the Subgroups dimmers on fifth page?
- two faders give me a weird behavior (rehearsal and auditorium) : all of for one and nothing for the other. I presume they were both commandig a group of channels?
- Is there a reason for having a "go to live mode" every time you are changing of page?
- Do you know how to unmark all channel of the livemode from touchosc? Maybe with an applescript?
English isn't my native tongue, please forgive me if what i write is not clear enough.
Thank you for your help
Greatings,

I think there is, since both LXConsole and Osculator can send and receive. It should be doable but I havent tried.- is there a way to know the state of the fchannels on the phone (if a channel is modified on my mac the fader on my phone do not move)?
That´s a neat trick I learned from mr Harry Twofingers on this forum.-How did you create multiple commands for 1 button like your "all of" on the "Buttons" page?
In the osculator window look under "page 6/All Off. I honestly dont remember exactly how I did it I copied a file and figured it out...
I prefer to use masters for things like houselights and such, since they will act according to HTP behaviour and not follow if a cue is run in the sequence.- What is your use of the Subgroups dimmers on fifth page?
Look into Osculator and the midisettings in LXconsoole and you can figure out what they do. They trigger 169 and 170. In the midisettings 170 is undefined - I just erased it sinc not everyone has the same cue number on a rehearsal light...- two faders give me a weird behavior (rehearsal and auditorium) : all of for one and nothing for the other. I presume they were both commandig a group of channels?
As for fader 169 (marked as auditorium light) it just kills every light with the command 1>512@0.
I left it like that so that Id remember to change it once I had made a master for the houselights - It needs to be defined according to whats in your LXConsole show...
YES, and a good one too. Its a safetyprecaution to keep you out of cuemode. Changeing in cues should be done with a better tool than a small iPhone interface.- Is there a reason for having a "go to live mode" every time you are changing of page?
No I dont, havent thought about it but I guess an applescript trigger in Osculator would be simple to do. If you write "<" in the command line for instance it will have that effect - everything is unmarked- Do you know how to unmark all channel of the livemode from touchosc? Maybe with an applescript?

I changed location to my own webpage for these 3 files.
If you fiddle around and break them they'll still be backed up here.

Rightclick and download file. - "save link as"...

For this point i've found an easy way to do it : in OSCulator set a Key combo "cmd-alt-U" working only for lxconsole.Johan Söderberg wrote:No I dont, havent thought about it but I guess an applescript trigger in Osculator would be simple to do. I'm not sure I'm completely following this thread. However, I wanted to make a point about the marking of channels. This mainly applies to tracking. If you use LXConsole in cue-only mode, marking does not have an effect--with one notable exception.
Channels that are marked in Live mode generally remain unchanged when playing cues. This is to allow an override of programmed levels during live execution. For example, perhaps a light got bumped and you want to take that channel out but don't want to try to edit cues while the show is running. The ability of marked channels in live mode to override the cue levels is for exactly that kind of situation.
However, a lot of the time you just want to adjust a level, record the change and go on to the next cue. In which case, you need to unmark channels so they are no longer overridden. This makes for a lot of unmarking. There's a little arrow in the live window right next to the Go button that is a shortcut to the unmark command. That helps, but you have to remember to click it... Because of this there is a preference setting so you can essentially turn off the mark/override behavior in live mode. The setting automatically unmarks channels every time the go button is pressed. (Preferences, Live tab, Unmark live channels on GO). That way you can have overrides off while editing and on while running and you don't have to think about it.
