Trying to finish a lightdesign within the next hours I thought Id simply download an older version of LCConsole an run that for a while. That I can handle and am pretty familiar with.
But the installer refuses to add an older version.
I ll uninstall the latest build and try again.
But I wonder Why? what's the purpose?
I like to keep one old and one beta at my drive all times but now I cant.
why are older versions forbidden?

Older installs are not forbidden by design. You should be able to install over any version. However, the Apple install architecture seems to favor only moving forward not backward.
You may need to use the terminal to get the OS to "forget" an install.
Try typing the following in a terminal window:
sudo pkgutil --forget com.claudeheintzdesign.lxconsole.pkg
You'll need your admin password but that command should work.
