remembering the state since last used

I've installed LXConsole on two powerbooks today but only on one does LXConsole remember in what state it was last it opened (in live mode and allowing external Midi input)
What could have this effect?
Both powerbooks run the same version of LXConsole 2.1.4.

The "Remember External Connections" preference is set on one machine and not the other.

Sounds like a very good answer!
Thought I´d checked that but i`ll have a look again when the laptops arrive later today.

Remember also, preferences are by user, not machine. Switching accounts will switch to new preferences (and not just for LXSeries but everything else with settings....)!

No it was an unmarked checkbox...
I marked my own as soon as the function came in Beta and then obviously forgot about it and just took it for granted as being the default behaviour.
I think it ought to be.
Sorry to bother you with this, but I found no guidance in the helptext since I wasnt looking in the right place... I tried searching for the word "remember" in the helptexts but nothing was found.
With the complexity increasing maybe the helpsection could do with an index.
And then whenever you need it all to be translated - just let me know
