Function of * in live

Definitely not a bug as it is documented behaviour, but I'm finding the context sensitive behaviour of the * key on a numeric keypad really annoying. It is really common to change a level, then want to change the same channels to another level straight away. If you use the "a" shortcut for AT it works as one would expect, putting in an AT for the currently selected channels. However when using * as AT on the numeric keypad if a channel number isn't put in first then the * instead of being AT becomes CUE. I understand the reasoning behind this as a way of including more functions from a small amount of available keys, but I'm finding it really frustrating as it doesn't function like any normal console.
I'm sure some people are used to this behaviour, but would be fantastic if there could be a setup option to take away the context sensitive behaviour of the * key and make it always AT.
As always, thanks for an amazing suite of software.
