Hi there,

I am in the process of migrating an LXConsole show from my machine to the show machine, and I am missing some sort of "export all user settings so you don't have to recreate them all on a new machine" feature...

... in saying that, as long as I know how it works, I am more than happy to use a quick, dirty, easy way, and I am not necessarily illiterate, but so far I failed... here my steps (non led to results):

a) copy all files / folders from the user library folder over to the new machine
b) copy the entire, original application from one computer's application folder to another

Where would these things be hidden?

A fast answer would help me immensly on this one :)... gotta hand over tomorrow, i.e. in 10 hrs...

Thanks heaps!

The preferences are stored in a file called "com.claudeheintzdesign.LXConsole.plist". To find this file, hold down the option key and select GO->Library in the Finder. This opens your user library folder. In that folder is another folder called "Preferences". Look in there for the "com.claudeheintzdesign.LXConsole.plist" file. You can copy that file into another user's "~/Library/Preferences" folder. Do this without LXConsole being open and when you start it up, you should see all the preference settings moved to the new user.
