I have 3 shows that I want run simultaneously.
Is there a way to merge cues from different shows?

So for example cue 1 in Show 1, Show 2 and Show 3 is being merged?

Or do I have to reprogram it manually?

Id try exporting them all three to ASCII and then use a texteditor to manipulate them.
Merge them with copy pasting to a fourth ASCII-file that you can then import.

Mr admin has also created a clever webtool that might be useful perhaps.

And...
if they are all LXConsolefiles you could actually run them all three simultaneously. But I guess youll need an external trigger like Qlab if they are to be perfectly timed.

I know its not recommended, but in the days before there was an effectsunit in LXConsole I used to run chases and other stuff in parallell shows. Two or three at a time was never any problem.

Do you want to assemble different cues (unique numbers) from different files? Or, do you want to combine levels from different cues from different files into a composite cue?

Thank you for your suggestions.

I ended up doing it all manually.

But what I was looking for is an easy way to combine cues from different shows, so they will become 1 cue list.

The easiest way to move cues from one file to another is copy and paste.

Open the source file. And then open its Cue Sheet. Select the first of a range of cues to copy. Hold down the shift key and click on the last of the cues. You can also use Select All (Cmd-A) if you simply want to copy all the cues. In any case, you should have one or more cues selected in the Cue Sheet. Choose Edit->Copy (Cmd-C).

Open the destination file and switch to "Cues" mode. Click on the main channel display. You should see it highlight with a thin (usually blue) outline.
Choose Paste (Cmd-V). If there are cue number conflicts, you will be asked to either replace the existing cue or re-number the new cue.

There are other ways of doing this by exporting/importing files. But copy and paste is the most direct.

Does anyone see a need for the ability to merge levels from two cues?

If I've got it right thats just what was the intention here. But me myself have never felt a need of such a function.
Curious though to hear from Viktor what might have put him in this unusual situation.

The reason I wanted this function is that I recently did a performance where 3 shows is running simultaneously, in 3 different rooms.

I designed the light in every room separately, therefore I ended up with 3 show files in lxconsole.

Yesterday we had the premier at Atalante in Gothenburg.
LxConsole is trigged via Qlab and is working great.

Thank you computer age.
