Hi there,
Although I've seen and read good feedback around using it, I'm completely new to using LX Console. Therefore firing away......
Does LX Console require definition of profiles? Assume that a simple dimmer should be no issue as it's only using a single channel (intensity). How does this work with for instance an RGB fixture or moving head? How and where does one enter the profile of a new fixture and it's channel definition (e.g. 1=dimmer, 2=pan, 3=tilt, etc etc).
Thx

Channels are setup by either right(control) clicking them to popup a menu with the Setup Channel command. Or, by selecting the channel or channels you want to configure and using Channel->Setup Hilited Channels.
Either of these commands display the Channel Setup Sheet. This contains tables that allow you to completely manually configure the channel and all of its subchannels. There are a number of pre-built channel setups accessible from the Import popup menu. If you do manually configure a channel, you can export the setup file for re-use with other channels.
There are a number of subchannels that are pre-defined. If you have a fixture that contains parameters that don't have a close analog in this list, you can define custom subchannels in the Setup window.
