There is a collection of presentations from workshops for professionals covering the basics of how to use LXBeams which is available on github:

The presentations are step-by-step introductions of many of the functions of LXBeams. Included is a collection of supporting files and plots that match the PDFs of the Keynotes. The plots allow you to start midway through the series or to look at the results of following the steps at various points in the lessons.
