I'm a lighting designer from germany and a new user of the lx pro series.
Normally i work with consoles like ETC EOS or transtechnik and make my plans with AutoCAD.
First of all, lx series is great program, it is cheap and can do most of all the things I need.
But there is no software in the world that is really perfect, so there are some things i'am missing:
LX CONSOLE
- I'm missing a virtual fader bank for the subs
- it is no moving light console, that is OK, but it will be useful to get
more enhancement for controlling LED Fixtures. The patching procedure
seems very complicated. Maybe a real fixture editor?
- It is possible to handle virtual dimmers, maybe for RGB LED-Stripes?
- I think it will be useful to patch the use of channels separately, for example
i would like to patch only the channel 1 thru 4 and 11 thru 21 and to see only these channels on the channel- and patch-display
- Chasers and Flicker-Effects will be nice
- graphiceditor for dimmer curves?
- discret channels times instead of Parts?
- ACN works fine
LX BEAMS
- I'm missing a "Wavy Line" for drawing curtains etc.
- Fill/Stroke/Text Color: It is possible to use gel-colors for this items?
Uups that a lot of things so I will stop and will check first all of the possibilities.
