Select and replace instruments

Post by lanternz »

In MacLux pro I could use the find function to select all the lights represented by a particular symbol and replace all those lights in the rig with another instrument. I can't see how you do that in LxBeams. Can you help?

LXFree's "Find" panel has been improved to allow you to select only results matching the currently selected symbol in the same way that MacLux Pro does. (v1.1.1)

If you leave the find term blank and search in "All" fields, while the "Matches Symbol" option is checked, you will select all the lights of the type show in the Inspector's "Symbol" tab when you click the "Find All" button.

This does not seem to be there in the latest version of LxBeams ( 0.9.2430) that I downloaded a few days ago. There is no "matches symbol" function. Is Beams lagging behind Free, or should that be are Beams lagging behind Free?

In terms of the new replace function both are the same. The feature is brand new and was added after your first post LXFree 1.1.1 and LXBeams 0.9.2529
