copy between drawings

Has something happened to the copy and paste function in Beams? I used to be able to copy a lighting position complete with instruments and paste it into a new drawing. Now most of the instruments come across as squares with no information in them. I have saved the palette information from drawing 1 but in drawing 2 the only instruments that come across are the ones that come with the app. I noticed this on 1.0.18 but it is still there in 1.1

This is caused by XML Copy/Paste being enabled in the preferences. There are a number of formats that are supported for the clipboard and it has been a challenge to make them work as expected for each possibility. This particular issue should be fixed in LXFree 1.6.2/LXBeams 1.1.2.
