Change size for 48 foot truss
Change size for 48 foot truss
How do I change the size of the plot to fit 48 foot trusses?
The size of the document is set in the Inspector's Document tab. The size is nominally expressed in pages. The size of the page can be configured using the standard Page Setup sheet and based on what your eventual output method will be.
Assuming that you want to create a plot without knowing the eventual printing setup, there are a number of standard sizes available from the popup menu in the document size area of the Inspector's Document tab. From this you can choose Standard Size (Rotated 90°) -> Arch B. This will give you a scale drawing area of 72' wide by 48' tall. That should be big enough to draw 48 foot trusses with space on the sides.
If you use a standard size, you'll possibly want to change the Page Setup later on. To be sure this does not change the size of your document, select "Don't Auto Resize" from the resize menu.
When you go to print, you'll be asked if you want to scale to a single page, print at actual size, or print as you see the size, including the current zoom.
So, assuming you've selected Standard Size (Rotated 90°) -> Arch B, set the resize option to "Don't Auto Resize" and used Page Setup to select standard letter size paper in landscape orientation, you'll be able to print your plot on a single sheet of paper.
