One of the things I love a great deal about lx series is the ability to insert or delete channels with all other channels re-numbering automatically. Sometimes I channel a plan with particular numerical commencement sequences for specific instrument types 501 for the start of all moving light spots, 401 for the washes etc. Is there some way to lock these sequences and still have the function to insert of delete within a sequence? To have one's cake and eat it in other words.

The latest build of LXBeams, Version 5.1.2 (13316.1) has updated scripts for insert and delete channel. These add an upper bound to the insert or delete operation. The re-numbering, either adding or subtracting 1 from the channel number, only happens when the number is below the upper limit.
So, if you want to insert a channel after 59, but don't want to re-number any channels above 400, you can do that.
