advice on lighting plot creation
I am doing a job which lighting setups must be recreated for special effect shots and my goal is to plot lamp type, Tstop and height for each scene. My friend uses lxfree for a tv show and i watched him make plots for the show by importing the directors plan and overlap the lighting fast and easy. Which software do you guys recomend for fast plots and can I do it on xp or do i have to buy a mac. thanks in advance

I think you can do this with LXBeams and LXConsole.
Create beams, move them around and send the new position st LXConsole and record them as a new cue.
That outta do it - but no not in windows - some little applescripts are needed.
But if you look at the alternatives you have for your windows machine I guess buying a new macbook along with a license for LXBeams and a free copy of LXConsole still is very priceworthy!
I myself use Vectorworks, Spotlight, LxBeams anf LXConsole.
Wysiwyg for instance, which I sometimes have to use, is very nice too if you somehow magically forget about the pricetag...
