Are you sure that you requested a download link for "LXFree for Java" and not "LXFree"? LXFree is only available for Mac OS X. LXFree for Java is available for Windows and Linux.
If you are using a computer running Windows and follow the download link in an e-mail that was generated by a request to download LXFree, you will get a message that says the software won't run on this computer. This message contains a link to the LXFree for Java page.
